National Team Leaves to Qatar

Maldives National team has travelled to Qatar yesterday.
Maldives will camp in Qatar to prepare for the upcoming SAFF Championships. Maldives lect yesterday with a 30-man squad including national legends Ali Ashfaq(Dhagandey) and SAFF Championship winning captain Akram Abdul Ghani(Aku).
Maldives first opponent Nepal are also camping in the middle east and will travel directly to Male' for the opening match. Maldives will play the first game against Nepal in the Galolhu National Stadium on the 1st of October. After a round-robin round, the top two teams will play the final match on the 16th of October.
Maldives left without their head coach, Ali Suzain. The veteran coach has tested positive to Covid-19. The team will be handled by Da Grande coach Ismail Mahfooz(Imma), until the coach is cleared to take over.
