Amju Scores The Only Goal As Vaanuvaa Defeats Dhandi United

Former Maalhos League Champions Vaanuvaa beat the Defending Champions Dhandi United 1-0 in today's Maalhos League clash.

Less than fifteen minutes into the game Dhandi United's defense fumbled a rebound that fell for Ahmed Amjadhu(Amju) who converted the only goal of the game. The Foakaidhoo FC defender was awarded the man of the match in a tight clash between the two strong sides. Vaanuvaa have their captain Ibrahim Zameer(Ibu) to thank saving atleast on five occasions from for Maldives Under-23 international and former Eagles star Hussain Athif(Pele'). 

With the win Vaanuvaa are second in the league table behind Alpha on goal difference, though Dhandi Sports have played a game less. Tomorrow Dhandi Sports will play against Alpha Wowo before Dhandi United play Alpha on tuesday.
